The Trumpeters of the Kolowrat Forests Performed at the St. Hubert Mass

On November 3, 2018, the Saint Hubert Mass was held in Kladruby, on the premises of the monastery church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, officiated by Miroslav Martiš from the Pilsen Roman Catholic parish. The Parson blessed hunters, forests, animals, and all of nature. For the blessing, the huntsmen laid a slain buck in front of the altar.

During the Holy Mass, held in honor of the patron saint of all the hunters and foresters, St. Hubert, the Trumpeters of the Kolowrat forests performed the ceremonial hunting fanfares. Also performing was organist Jana Boučková. The mass was attended by dozens of guests. For the occasion, the nearby monastery restaurant prepared venison feasts for visitors throughout the weekend.
