The biography of Alexander Joseph, Count Kolowrat-Krakowsky came about at the behest of the Kolowrat-Krakowsky Family, to mark the 130th anniversary of his birth.
Author Richard Pecha gathered together a host of factual data covering the extraordinary life of this remarkable man, Sascha Kolowrat, arranged chronologically year-by-year. The book contains 280 reproductions of period photographs and printed matter, 20 original illustrations and a photo-story based on the last film production by Sascha-Film “Café Elektric”.
The book is published by Kolowratovy domy a.s.
A gala book launch is to be held in the large hall of the Lucerna cinema in Prague in September this year, on the occasion of screening the three most famous movies by Sascha Kolowrat: ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’, ‘Café Elektric’ and the ‘The Moon of Israel’. The ‘godfathers’ of the book’s christening will be Maximilian Alexander Kolowrat-Krakowsky , Francesca Dominika Kolowrat-Krakowsky, JUDr. Dominika Kolowrat-Krakowsky and as a surprise, one of the outstanding personalities of Czech cinema.
A substantial part of the book describes and photo-documents the sporting career of Alexander, Count Kolowrat-Krakowsky. In view of this, the book will be presented to the public in advance, on the occasion of the Sascha Kolowrat Veteran Rally in Přimda on Saturday 11 June this year, comprising the first few dozen copies.
